About the team + role

We are building an elite team, applying frontier technologies to the world’s biggest financial problems. We’re looking for bold thinkers. Sharp problem-solvers. Builders who are wired to make an impact. Robinhood isn’t a place for complacency, it’s where ambitious people do the best work of their careers. We’re a high-performing, fast-moving team with ethics at the center of everything we do. Expectations are high, and so are the rewards.

Bitstamp Europe S.A. is Robinhood’s EU-regulated crypto exchange and the company’s primary licensing hub for European operations. Under Robinhood, Bitstamp Europe is the cornerstone of the company’s ambition to become Europe’s leading regulated crypto platform - serving institutional, retail and B2B clients through spot, perpetual futures, and crypto-as-a-service offerings.

As President, Bitstamp Europe, you will serve as the general manager and senior-most leader of Bitstamp Europe S.A., with full P&L accountability for Robinhood’s European crypto business. You will be the company’s most senior face to European regulators - primarily the CSSF in Luxembourg, with whom you are expected to qualify as an Authorized Manager and to institutional partners, counterparties, and key stakeholders across the region. This is a high-visibility, externally facing leadership role requiring equal mastery of financial regulation, business strategy, and team leadership.

This role is based in our Luxembourg office, with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week.

At Robinhood, we believe in the power of in-person work to accelerate progress, spark innovation, and strengthen community. Our office experience is intentional, energizing, and designed to fully support high-performing teams.

What you’ll do

  • Serve as the CSSF-recognized Authorized Manager and primary regulatory representative for Bitstamp Europe's MiCA CASP, Payment Institution and related licenses across all business lines.
  • Lead supervisory engagement on examinations, license conditions, notifications, outsourcing and regulatory change.
  • Clear new products and markets for launch quickly, so regulation speeds up revenue growth.
  • Own the P&L of Bitstamp Europe S.A. and be accountable for revenue growth across institutional and B2B in the EEA. Drive volume, fee yield and market share, and keep the cost base disciplined as revenue scales.
  • Define and execute Bitstamp Europe’s regional go-to-market strategy in close partnership with Robinhood’s global product, engineering, compliance, and BD leadership
  • Lead, grow, and develop the Luxembourg-based team - recruit senior talent, define organizational structure, and preserve Bitstamp’s culture of performance and integrity
  • Own institutional and strategic partnership relationships across Europe, including B2B crypto-as-a-service clients, bank liquidity partnerships, and key institutional accounts
  • Proactively navigate the evolving European regulatory landscape - MiCA, MiFID II, DORA, and future frameworks - ensuring sustained CSSF compliance and shaping regulatory engagements

What you bring

  • Significant experience in regulated financial services with meaningful European presence - ideally combining fintech or crypto depth with deep working knowledge of Luxembourg or EU financial regulation
  • Demonstrated experience qualifying or operating as an Approved Person or Authorized Manager under European regulatory frameworks (CSSF, FCA, DNB, BaFin, or equivalent); ability to qualify as a CSSF Authorized Manager is required
  • Deep command of MiCA, MiFID II, and the CSSF’s regulatory expectations for crypto-asset service providers; working knowledge of DORA, AML/CFT frameworks, and PSD2
  • P&L ownership at scale in a regulated European financial entity - you have run a business, not just managed a function
  • Proven track record building and closing institutional B2B relationships and strategic partnerships in European financial markets
  • Experience leading through corporate integration or significant organizational change - managing competing stakeholders while keeping a business performing
  • Fluency in English required; French or Luxembourgish a plus

Leadership expectations

Our ambitious roadmap requires a great culture shaped by exceptional leaders. Here’s what we expect from them:

  • Drive high performance by setting clear, focused goals, giving real-time feedback, stretching top talent, and scaling impact through focus, innovation, and tech.
  • Hire and retain top talent by setting a high bar, hiring only those who raise it, investing in onboarding, and addressing talent issues quickly and fairly.
  • Create community by connecting work to purpose, removing friction while prioritizing safety, building trust and inclusion, and leading from the front with integrity.

What we offer

  • Challenging, high-impact work to grow your career.
  • Performance-driven compensation with multipliers for outsized impact, bonus programs, equity ownership, and 401(k) matching.
  • Best-in-class benefits to fuel your work, including 100% paid health insurance for employees with 90% coverage for dependents.
  • Lifestyle wallet - a highly flexible benefits spending account for wellness, learning, and more.
  • Employer-paid life & disability insurance, fertility benefits, and mental health benefits.
  • Time off to recharge including company holidays, paid time off, sick time, parental leave, and more!
  • Exceptional office experience with catered meals, events, and comfortable workspaces.

Robinhood's Vlad Tenev says tokenized stocks will do for U.S. equities what stablecoins did for the dollar

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev is positioning the company as a global financial conglomerate centered on the philosophy of broad asset ownership, which he argues is essential for societal stability. To facilitate this, Robinhood has launched its own blockchain, Robinhood Chain, specifically designed to support tokenized securities with full DeFi interoperability. This infrastructure allows users to trade stock tokens that can be moved to external wallets or integrated into lending pools, mirroring the accessibility model of stablecoins. Tenev views these financial primitives as a foundation for a new developer platform, enabling innovations like stock-token-linked NFTs and native smart-contract options. Beyond tokenization, the company is aggressively scaling agentic trading, with users performing 30 million tool calls daily through its AI-driven trading agents. Tenev contends that providing retail investors with early-stage access to assets and sophisticated trading tools is the only way to democratize wealth in an era where high-growth AI companies remain private for longer. By integrating these technologies, Robinhood aims to make U.S. equities as accessible globally as stablecoins have made the U.S. dollar.

AMC CEO Adam Aron Says AMC Will ‘Say No’ To Tokenized Stocks

AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron has publicly declared that the company will refuse to authorize the tokenization of its shares, citing concerns over corporate control and capital structure integrity. Aron specifically criticized brokerage firms like Robinhood for pursuing tokenization initiatives without sufficient issuer consent, labeling the practice as detrimental to a company's ability to manage its balance sheet. This stance follows the implementation of new SEC regulations that now require explicit corporate approval before brokerage firms can offer tokenized versions of equity. Aron argues that maintaining direct oversight of shares and debt has been fundamental to AMC's recent financial recovery, which includes a $2 billion debt reduction since 2022. By rejecting tokenization, AMC aims to prevent external intermediaries from influencing its financial destiny or complicating its capital management strategies. This development highlights a growing friction between traditional corporate issuers and digital asset intermediaries regarding the ownership and representation of equity on blockchain networks. The refusal underscores the importance of regulatory frameworks that prioritize issuer rights in the evolving landscape of tokenized securities.

Tokenized stocks from Robinhood, Binance, and Coinbase attract $130.5M in DeFi deposits

As of November 3, 2026, users have deposited $130.5 million in tokenized stocks into DeFi protocols, signaling a shift toward active utility for these assets. Robinhood leads the market with $69.0 million in deposits, followed by Binance at $36.5 million and Coinbase at $24.9 million. These figures represent a portion of the $3.2 billion in total on-chain tokenized equity value recorded by late October 2026. The rapid adoption is driven by the integration of these tokens into lending markets and decentralized exchange liquidity pools, allowing users to earn yield or borrow against their holdings. Robinhood’s success is attributed to its vertical integration, having launched a dedicated Layer-2 chain specifically for its stock tokens in July 2026. While these products offer 24/7 access to US equity price exposure for international users, they generally do not confer direct shareholder rights. This trend highlights the growing role of tokenized equities as functional financial building blocks rather than passive digital assets. The market remains in an early stage, with significant potential for further migration of the remaining $3 billion in tokenized equity supply into DeFi ecosystems.
