By function
How this is computed
- From postings, not a survey. Every opening published on RWA Signal in the last 6 months that states pay in a named currency. Roles that have since been filled still count — they still say what was offered.
- A range counts as its middle. The board sorts by the top of a range, because that is how a candidate reads one. A median of tops would report a market paying more than it does, so a range enters the sample at its midpoint. Hourly, daily and monthly rates are multiplied up to a year.
- Currencies are never mixed or converted. A median taken across dollars, euros and pounds is a figure true in no currency at all, and live conversion rates would move the number under you between visits. Each currency is its own table.
- Nothing under 8 postings is printed. Below that a median is noise dressed as precision. What gives way is precision, never the threshold: a thin bucket for senior engineers falls back to all engineers, then to the whole board, and the row always says which of the three you are looking at.
