About the role (from employer)

Job Summary

Plume is hiring a Regional Lead to build our presence across Asia-Pacific — a region spanning some of the world's most crypto-forward markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan) alongside large, fast-growing emerging markets. You will drive partnerships with regional exchanges, asset managers, and fintechs, and build Plume's brand and regulatory relationships across a highly diverse set of markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute Plume's GTM strategy across priority APAC markets (Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, and emerging markets as prioritized), guided by regulatory readiness and market opportunity.
  • Source and close partnerships with regional exchanges, asset managers, custodians, and fintechs interested in tokenized RWAs.
  • Engage with regional regulators (e.g., MAS, SFC, FSC) and industry bodies to support compliant expansion across the region.
  • Coordinate with global Legal and Compliance on treaty withholding, licensing, and cross-border structuring considerations specific to APAC jurisdictions.
  • Represent Plume at major regional conferences and community events; act as primary regional spokesperson.
  • Build and nurture regional developer and user communities across key APAC hubs.
  • Report on regional pipeline, partnerships, and adoption metrics to global leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business development or institutional partnerships experience in APAC crypto, fintech, or financial services.
  • Fluency in English plus at least one additional regional language (Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese strongly preferred); deep familiarity with the diverse regulatory landscape across APAC.
  • Existing network across regional exchanges, asset managers, or regulators.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals and ability to operate credibly with both crypto-native and traditional institutional counterparties.
  • Comfortable managing a large, diverse region independently with significant time zone spread.

Preferred Experience

  • Existing relationships with exchanges, asset managers, or family offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, or Japan.
  • Prior experience at a crypto exchange, protocol, or fintech leading APAC expansion.
  • Familiarity with regional tax/treaty considerations (e.g., Korean withholding, Hong Kong tax residency rules) relevant to structuring cross-border tokenized products.

About Plume

Plume is a public, cross chain compatible blockchain built for Real World Assets (RWAs). We go beyond tokenization — enabling assets to be used like crypto: stake, swap, lend, borrow, loop, and more.

By integrating institutional‑grade assets with DeFi tools, Plume makes private credit, ETFs, commodities, and other traditionally inaccessible assets permissionless, composable, and usable at a click. Our mission: bridge traditional finance and crypto through adoption without sacrificing transparency or user experience.

  • 180+ RWA companies building dapps and tokenizing assets on Plume’s testnet, ranging from collectibles and real estate to equities and private credit
  • 50+ technology partners working with Plume and offering special services to our ecosystem partners
  • Experienced team of 20+ crypto, finance, and tech professionals from:
    • Crypto: Coinbase, dYdX, LayerZero, Binance, Galaxy Digital, Kraken
    • Finance/Tech: JP Morgan, Robinhood, Fidelity, Google, Coupa, Affirm
  • Backed by great investors and operators including:
    • YZi Labs, Brevan Howard, Haun Ventures, Galaxy Digital, F-Prime Lightspeed, Faction, Superscrypt, SV Angel, and more

How Does Plume Network Bake KYC and Compliance Directly Into the Chain Itself?

Plume Network has launched a specialized Layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for real-world asset (RWA) finance by embedding compliance directly into its protocol modules. Unlike general-purpose blockchains that require individual applications to manage KYC and sanctions screening, Plume integrates these functions at the network level through tools like Passport and Predicate. This architecture allows verified identity credentials to be reused across different asset issuers, significantly reducing friction for institutions like Apollo Global, WisdomTree, and Invesco. The network utilizes Arbitrum Nitro technology and Celestia for data availability, while maintaining SEC-registered transfer agent status and an Abu Dhabi Global Market license. As of August 2026, the platform reported approximately 260,600 RWA holders and $177 million in tokenized asset value. Despite this institutional adoption, the native PLUME token has experienced significant volatility, trading near $0.014, which represents a 94% decline from its March 2025 all-time high. This infrastructure-first approach aims to solve the scalability issues of fragmented compliance in the RWA sector.

Plume Vaults settles over $600M in real-world asset volume

Plume Network has reached a significant milestone with its Plume Vaults product, recording over $600 million in settled real-world asset volume, with some trackers reporting up to $738.5 million. By tokenizing complex assets like private credit, collateralized loan obligations, and US Treasuries, the platform enables retail access to institutional-grade financial instruments. The protocol operates across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, and BNB Chain, distinguishing itself from single-chain competitors. A notable institutional adoption occurred in June 2026 when ether.fi allocated $100 million into the nBASIS vault. With over 195,000 holders and current TVL between $150 million and $182 million, the platform demonstrates high capital velocity rather than passive liquidity. Plume Network further differentiates itself by securing Bermuda Monetary Authority licensing and SEC transfer agent approval. This growth highlights a shift in the RWA market toward yield-bearing credit products that derive value from actual cash flows rather than inflationary incentives.

Shinhan Asset Management Partners with Plume to Scale Tokenized Securities and RWA Infrastructure

Shinhan Asset Management has entered a strategic partnership with Plume Network to advance the tokenization of real-world assets and securities infrastructure. By leveraging Plume’s modular Layer 2 blockchain specifically designed for RWA, Shinhan aims to streamline the issuance and management of tokenized financial products. This collaboration focuses on integrating institutional-grade compliance and liquidity solutions directly into the blockchain ecosystem. The initiative marks a significant step for South Korean financial institutions in adopting decentralized ledger technology for traditional asset classes. By utilizing Plume's specialized infrastructure, Shinhan intends to reduce operational friction and enhance the accessibility of tokenized securities for a broader investor base. This move underscores the growing trend of major asset managers seeking scalable, blockchain-native frameworks to modernize their product offerings. The partnership serves as a critical development for the RWA market, demonstrating how established financial entities are increasingly relying on purpose-built L2 networks to bridge the gap between traditional finance and digital assets.
