We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world's leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard, Interactive Brokers and Charles Schwab.

  • Own and maintain policies, procedures, and operational guidance, ensuring they reflect applicable requirements and support consistent execution.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and business teams to resolve challenges, evaluate creative and practical solutions, and communicate priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs.

  • Build and maintain relationships with Paxos’ enterprise partners and customers and their Compliance teams.

  • Identify control gaps and lead issue remediation, including root cause analysis, corrective action planning, implementation, evidence retention, and validation support.

  • Participate in internal and external audits and regulatory examinations, preparing documentation, explaining processes and controls, and coordinating timely, accurate responses.

  • Manage KYC vendor relationships, including service performance, issue escalation, capability assessments, and coordination of enhancements.

  • Drive improvements to KYC tooling and workflows, defining requirements, supporting user acceptance testing, and ensuring successful implementation and team adoption.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and control effectiveness through automation and appropriately governed AI use.

Tokenized commodities reach US$5.55 billion, functions expand

The market capitalization of tokenized commodities surged to US$5.55 billion by March 2026, marking a significant increase from US$1.43 billion at the start of 2025. Gold-backed tokens from Paxos and Tether currently dominate this sector, representing nearly 90% of the total market growth. Beyond simple price tracking, developers are now integrating complex financial functions such as lending, rental income, and inventory financing into these digital assets. Paxos Labs has introduced PAXGy, which generates yield through gold-denominated loans to institutional borrowers, while Theo has launched thSLVR to provide rental income from silver leasing. Meanwhile, Energy Substantiation (EnSub) is testing the tokenization of oil with its WTIC token, which represents one barrel of WTI crude oil on the Ethereum blockchain. These innovations aim to democratize access to commodity lending markets that were previously restricted to large institutional players. As the sector matures, Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) is actively drafting regulatory frameworks to govern the issuance, custody, and protection of tokenized real assets.

Tokenized commodities eye next phase of growth as gold, silver and oil move onchain

The tokenized commodities market is evolving beyond gold-backed assets to include industrial metals and energy, reaching a market capitalization of $5.55 billion by March 2026. While gold-backed tokens from Paxos and Tether currently represent nearly 90% of this sector, firms like Theo and Energy Substantiation are introducing new products for silver and oil. These platforms aim to democratize access to commodity financing, allowing investors to earn yield through lending and leasing arrangements that were previously restricted to large institutions. Paxos is leveraging its PAXGy token to allow holders to increase gold exposure through lending, while Theo’s thSLVR product distributes income from institutional silver leases. Energy Substantiation has expanded its WTI crude oil token, WTIC, to the Solana blockchain to facilitate inventory financing and hedging for energy market participants. This shift toward productive, yield-bearing assets is expected to drive the market toward a projected $100 billion valuation within a decade. The growth of this sector depends on integrating blockchain tokens with reliable physical supply chains, custody solutions, and established commodity settlement markets.

Hare Develops Aave-Powered Vaults for Stablecoins and Tokenized Gold

Hare is developing new onchain vaults that leverage Aave liquidity pools to provide yield-generating products for dollar stablecoins and tokenized gold. The initiative, built in collaboration with the liquidity-distribution platform Turtle, aims to expand the curated-vault model by pooling assets into lending markets. Hare USD Earn will focus on major dollar stablecoins, while Hare Gold Earn is designed to support Paxos’ PAXG and PAXGy tokenized gold products. This development occurs as the broader curated-vault market experiences significant growth, reaching $11.29 billion in total value locked across 856 vaults as of August 20, 2026. Despite this expansion, the market remains highly concentrated, with five curators controlling 69% of the total value. While the technical framework utilizes Aave’s overcollateralized borrowing model, specific details regarding launch dates, yields, fees, and regulatory compliance for U.S. investors remain undisclosed. The project highlights the ongoing trend of integrating institutional-grade assets like gold into decentralized finance protocols to capture yield. Future updates are expected to clarify the product specifications and operational risk controls for these vaults.
