Summary written by RWA Signal. The employer’s own description follows below.

About the role (from employer)

At Ripple, we’re building a world where value moves like information does today. It’s big, it’s bold, and we’re already doing it. Through our crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we are improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people, in more places around the world. And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs.

If you’re ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real world value.

The Opportunity

This solution does not yet exist. Corporate treasury teams must choose between old treasury platforms that fail to support digital assets and crypto-native tools that lack fundamental enterprise treasury elements. You will head the engineering effort to remove this choice by incorporating Ripple's digital asset abilities into the Ripple Treasury platform in close partnership with Ripple's core digital assets team.

This is a greenfield role. You will join forces with a seasoned infrastructure engineer and a product lead, forming a team of up to four full-stack developers. The direction may change day-to-day as the team finds what works best. There is no guidebook and no comparable market solution. You will determine how digital assets fit into corporate treasury workflows — and through this, help establish a new category of enterprise software.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the engineering process for digital asset integration by building and designing systems that join Ripple's digital asset functions (XRP, RLUSD, tokenized assets, custody, cross-border settlement) with Ripple Treasury's enterprise platform.
  • Build and manage a group of up to four full-stack .NET developers, recruiting, mentoring, and developing engineers while staying actively involved in coding.
  • Ship working software daily — lead a fast-paced Kanban workflow where the team builds, presents, iterates, and adapts direction based on findings and collaborator feedback.
  • Work closely with Ripple's core digital assets team to grasp protocol capabilities, integration points, and roadmap alignment.
  • Design full-stack solutions spanning .NET backend services and Angular or React frontends, ensuring enterprise-grade reliability, security, and auditability.
  • Navigate ambiguity with confidence — make sound engineering decisions with incomplete information, course-correct quickly, and keep the team productive through rapid pivots.
  • Partner with product, compliance, and treasury domain experts to translate emerging requirements into shippable features that meet the needs of Fortune 500 CFOs and treasurers.
  • Define engineering practices for the team — establish coding standards, review processes, testing strategies, and deployment patterns appropriate for a fast-moving, pioneering effort.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong full-stack background in .NET and modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or equivalent)
  • Over 2 years of experience in leading engineering teams, encompassing recruitment, mentoring, and development of engineering groups
  • Demonstrated ability to ship software in fast-paced, ambiguous environments — you have built products where requirements were unclear or changing rapidly
  • Production background in fintech, digital assets, or blockchain — you have delivered systems managing actual financial transactions or digital asset activities
  • Comfort with pioneering work — you thrive when the playbook hasn't been written yet and find energy in defining new approaches
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills — ability to work closely with cross-functional partners including product managers, compliance teams, and external engineering teams
  • Hands-on leadership orientation — willingness and ability to write production code alongside your team, especially in the early stages of team building

Nice to Have

  • Deep familiarity with blockchain protocols, digital asset custody, tokenization, or cross-border settlement systems
  • Experience with XRP Ledger, RLUSD, or Ripple's product ecosystem
  • Background in corporate treasury, treasury management systems, or enterprise financial software
  • Experience integrating traditional financial infrastructure with digital asset platforms
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for digital asset products in financial services

Ripple SettleMint Partnership Launches Tokenised Asset Platform

Ripple and SettleMint have launched an integrated platform designed to help regulated financial institutions issue and manage tokenized assets. The solution combines Ripple Custody with SettleMint’s Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform to provide a unified system for custody, issuance, compliance, and settlement. Launched in the Asia Pacific region on September 1, the platform aims to eliminate the need for institutions to manage fragmented vendor systems across the asset lifecycle. While the partnership targets banks and sovereign entities, it does not mandate the use of the XRP Ledger, XRP, or Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin. The platform emphasizes self-custody infrastructure, allowing institutions to retain private-key control through hardware security modules and multi-party computation. Although the companies have not disclosed specific clients or implementation volumes, the initiative aligns with broader institutional efforts to modernize financial infrastructure. This development reflects a strategic push to capture the projected growth of the tokenized real-world asset market, which some forecasts estimate could reach $88 trillion by 2035.

Ripple hires LME treasury chief for tokenization push

Ripple has appointed Joseph Thompson, the outgoing head of treasury at the London Metal Exchange, to bolster its institutional tokenization strategy. Thompson brings over 15 years of experience in liquidity management, collateral risk, and clearing operations from his previous roles at the LME, Deutsche Bank, and ICAP. This strategic hire aligns with Ripple's ongoing expansion beyond cross-border payments into the issuance and management of funds, bonds, and other real-world assets. While Ripple has not disclosed a specific title or product roadmap for Thompson, his background in commodities and clearing infrastructure is expected to support the company's broader capital-markets goals. The move follows Ripple's recent acquisition of Hidden Road and the launch of its Ripple Prime institutional trading service. By integrating expertise in collateral mobility and regulated transfer agency, Ripple aims to bridge traditional financial infrastructure with blockchain-based asset management. This appointment underscores the company's commitment to building a comprehensive ecosystem for tokenized securities and institutional trading. The long-term impact on the RWA market remains dependent on future product disclosures and the specific integration of these treasury functions into Ripple's existing infrastructure.

Dubai Land Department tokenizes 10 real estate towers on XRPL, targets $16 billion by 2033

Dubai has launched a pilot program to tokenize ten physical real estate towers, resulting in the creation of 7.8 million digital tokens representing over $5 million in property value. The initiative, supported by the Dubai Land Department, utilizes the XRP Ledger for transaction settlement, which occurs in 3 to 5 seconds. Ripple Custody provides institutional-grade security for these assets, while Ctrl Alt manages the technical infrastructure for minting and title management. Investors can participate in secondary-market trading with a minimum threshold of approximately $540. This project is part of a broader government strategy to tokenize 7% of Dubai’s real estate market, estimated at $16 billion, by 2033. By synchronizing blockchain records with the official land registry, the initiative ensures legal certainty and operational efficiency for fractional property ownership. This development marks a significant milestone in the integration of public blockchains into sovereign-regulated asset classes, setting a precedent for global real estate tokenization.
