This role will require being full-time onsite at our Toronto office to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving.

BitGo is hiring a Senior Mobile Software Engineer to build the apps our retail users use to manage and move digital assets. You will own features from design through release, with a focus on security, performance, and a polished experience on both iOS and Android.

Required

  • 5+ years of professional mobile development, with at least one app shipped to the App Store or Google Play
  • Deep experience in at least one of the following, and willingness to work across all three:
    • React Native with TypeScript
    • Native iOS with Swift 
    • Native Android with Kotlin 
  • Working knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript, or the ability to pick it up quickly if your background is native
  • A solid grasp of the mobile development life cycle, from design through release and post-launch monitoring
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling offline state, caching, and error recovery
  • Strong testing habits across unit, integration, and UI tests
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and algorithm skills
  • Interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred

  • Mobile security experience: secure storage, certificate pinning, jailbreak and root detection, biometric authentication, or app attestation
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs
  • Experience in the crypto industry
  • Familiarity with digital wallets, cryptographic signing, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, or accounting systems

Pay Transparency Notice:

Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $180,000 and $220,000 CAD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus, and the benefits outlined above are also part of this role’s package.
