Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo on Tokenized Stocks and the Future of Capital Markets

Securitize has launched Securitize Stocks, a platform enabling eligible investors to access tokenized U.S. equities on the Solana blockchain while maintaining traditional shareholder rights like voting and dividends. CEO Carlos Domingo emphasized that these offerings are fully SEC-compliant, distinguishing them from offshore synthetic derivatives that only provide price exposure. The initiative currently features 12 highly liquid stocks, with plans to expand asset variety and introduce on-chain utility such as lending and borrowing. Additionally, Securitize has partnered with Ark Invest to bring the Ark Venture Fund on-chain, allowing retail investors to access a mix of public and private companies with a $500 minimum. These developments signal a broader shift as traditional financial institutions increasingly adopt blockchain to modernize capital market infrastructure. Future plans include trading support via the OKX platform and the NYSE Digital ATS.
