Ripple President: RWA Tokenization on XRPL Could Reach US$30 Billion

Ripple President Monica Long projects that the value of real-world assets tokenized on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) will grow from approximately US$6 billion to US$30 billion in the coming phase. This growth is expected to be driven by increased institutional adoption as regulatory clarity encourages firms to transition from blockchain experimentation to full-scale infrastructure implementation. Key use cases identified for this expansion include 24-hour collateral mobility via tokenized money market funds, government bond-based repo transactions, and cross-border payments utilizing stablecoins. To facilitate this institutional shift, Ripple is enhancing XRPL with privacy controls, permissioned transaction capabilities, and simplified integration with decentralized exchanges. Furthermore, the company is developing infrastructure to support AI-driven transactions, projecting a tenfold increase in volume to 100 million transactions. Technical advancements such as Zero-Knowledge Proofs for confidential transfers are being implemented to address traditional finance requirements for transaction privacy.
