Mirae Asset Signs On to DTCC's Tokenized Securities Service
Mirae Asset Securities' New York unit has officially joined the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation's (DTCC) Tokenized Securities Service (DTS) as one of 20 initial institutional participants. This strategic move allows the firm to integrate blockchain-based tokenization into its existing post-trade workflows, including clearing, settlement, and custody. By leveraging DTS, Mirae Asset aims to enhance capital efficiency and explore new use cases for tokenized securities as collateral within the U.S. capital markets. The service acts as a bridge between traditional financial infrastructure and digital asset ecosystems, enabling the conversion of conventional securities into blockchain-based tokens while maintaining investor protections. Other major global financial institutions, including JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citi, and Fidelity, are also participating in the initial rollout. This adoption signifies a growing institutional commitment to standardizing tokenized asset infrastructure within regulated environments. For the broader RWA market, this integration represents a critical step toward interoperability between legacy financial systems and distributed ledger technology.
