Abu Dhabi’s ADX moves to expand trading of tokenised assets
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has entered a strategic partnership with digital asset technology firm DFNS to integrate advanced wallet and tokenization infrastructure into its trading ecosystem. This initiative aims to facilitate the issuance, listing, and trading of digital assets, including tokenized equities and digitally native bonds. By adopting DFNS’s wallet technology, which supports over 30 blockchains and 1,000 tokens, ADX positions itself as a regional leader in the transition toward on-chain financial markets. The development is a core component of the exchange's broader strategy to establish Abu Dhabi as a global hub for next-generation capital markets. This move reflects a growing institutional trend where traditional stock exchanges are proactively building the technical foundations required to support blockchain-based financial instruments. As the second-largest stock exchange in the Arab region, ADX's commitment to secure, governed digital infrastructure signals a significant shift toward the modernization of regional financial services. Ultimately, this integration provides the necessary framework for ADX to expand its product offerings into a wider range of on-chain assets, enhancing investor confidence and market accessibility.
