About the role (from employer)

Senior Product Manager, Trading Connectivity

We are seeking a technically strong Senior Product Manager to own and evolve Talos’s connectivity across the institutional trading lifecycle. You’ll help expand institutional access to a rapidly evolving trading ecosystem, from traditional exchanges and liquidity providers to emerging markets such as prediction markets, tokenized assets and decentralized trading protocols. The role will primarily focus on trading connectivity, with opportunities to support integrations across clearing, custody and other market infrastructure.

You will work closely with Engineering, Sales, clients and external partners to bring new trading venues and capabilities onto the Talos platform, while continuously improving the performance, reliability and functionality of existing integrations. You’ll work at the intersection of electronic trading, technology and product delivery, tackling the technical and market-structure challenges of connecting institutional trading systems to an increasingly diverse set of markets.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roadmap, prioritization and delivery of Talos’s connectivity capabilities, balancing new integrations, client requirements and improvements to existing connections.

  • Expand connectivity into new and emerging markets, including prediction markets and tokenized assets, adapting Talos’s trading capabilities to different market structures and protocols.

  • Drive multiple integration projects end to end, from technical assessment through development, certification and production rollout, coordinating teams, dependencies, timelines and risks to ensure successful delivery.

  • Work closely with Engineering to define and enhance connectivity capabilities across order entry, market data, FIX/REST/WebSocket APIs, security master, rate limits, resiliency and performance.

  • Ensure connectivity supports Talos trading workflows, including liquidity aggregation, smart order routing, algorithms and other EMS capabilities.

  • Build strong technical relationships with exchanges, liquidity providers and other external partners to deliver new capabilities and resolve production issues.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in electronic trading, capital markets technology or institutional digital assets, ideally in product management, trading technology or connectivity.

  • Understanding of EMS/OEMS workflows, order lifecycle, market data and multi-venue trading.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and drive multiple complex technical projects concurrently, with strong attention to detail, follow-through and ownership.

  • Experience with exchange, broker, dealer or liquidity-provider connectivity.

  • Working knowledge of FIX and API-based trading protocols, including REST and WebSocket.

  • Technical aptitude and comfort working with API documentation, logs, JSON messages and production data.

  • Good understanding of trading concepts such as order type, liquidity aggregation, smart order routing, rate limits and execution algorithms.

  • Comfortable using SQL for investigation and analysis; scripting experience such as Python is a plus.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Engineering, clients and external technical partners.

Preferred

  • Digital asset experience is beneficial but not required; strong electronic trading experience in FX, equities, futures or other asset classes is highly relevant.

MILESTONE | Real-World Assets (RWAs) Match Bitcoin Volumes on the Largest Perpetuals Exchanges

Trading volumes for perpetual futures tied to tokenized real-world assets have surged to reach 99.2% of Bitcoin perpetual futures volume on Hyperliquid and Binance. This rapid growth indicates a significant shift in crypto derivatives markets, where Bitcoin has historically maintained dominance. The surge is driven by increased investor demand for around-the-clock, leveraged exposure to traditional financial assets like U.S. equities, commodities, and stock indices. Hyperliquid has notably seen RWA-linked perpetuals become its largest trading category, surpassing traditional cryptocurrency contracts for the first time. This trend is supported by broader institutional developments, including the SEC's approval for Nasdaq to trade tokenized securities and the DTCC's upcoming integration with the Stellar blockchain. These milestones highlight the evolution of tokenization from simple spot assets into complex, high-volume derivatives segments. The data, provided by digital asset infrastructure firm Talos, underscores the successful bridging of traditional financial markets with blockchain-native trading infrastructure.

Talos Participates in DTCC Pilot for Tokenized Securities Connectivity

Talos, a provider of institutional digital asset trading technology, has joined a pilot program led by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) to explore connectivity for tokenized securities. This initiative focuses on integrating Talos’s trading infrastructure with the DTCC’s digital asset capabilities to streamline the lifecycle management of tokenized assets. By participating in this pilot, Talos aims to bridge the gap between traditional financial market infrastructure and blockchain-based settlement systems. The collaboration seeks to address interoperability challenges that currently hinder the widespread adoption of tokenized securities among institutional investors. As the DTCC continues to test its digital asset platforms, the inclusion of established trading technology providers signals a shift toward more robust, scalable institutional workflows. This development is significant for the RWA market because it demonstrates the practical integration of legacy clearinghouse processes with modern distributed ledger technology. Ultimately, the pilot serves as a critical step in building the necessary plumbing to support high-volume, regulated tokenized asset trading.

Talos: Tokenized Stock Structure Shapes Liquidity and Legal Rights

Talos has released a structural taxonomy for tokenized stocks, categorizing them into issuer-native equity, custodial wrapped tokens, and derivative-based synthetic exposure. The report highlights that these categories offer fundamentally different legal claims, with issuer-native equity providing direct shareholder rights while synthetic exposure offers none. Using Nvidia as a case study, Talos demonstrates that instruments like Backed Finance’s NVDAx and Ondo Finance’s NVDAon exhibit significant pricing and liquidity divergence from perpetual futures. Data shows that Nvidia perpetual futures generated $6.3 billion in volume, exceeding the combined volume of tokenized spot products by over 40 times. This disparity underscores a market preference for capital efficiency and liquidity over the operational complexities of custody and redemption. The analysis emphasizes that as regulatory frameworks like the EU’s DLT Pilot Regime and MiCA evolve, the legal certainty of onchain claims will become a critical due diligence requirement for institutional investors. Ultimately, Talos argues that market participants must distinguish between these structures to accurately assess risk and execution quality in the growing RWA sector.
