About this role

About the role (from employer)

Who We Are

At OKX, we believe that the future will be reshaped by crypto, and ultimately contribute to every individual's freedom. OKX is a leading crypto exchange, and the developer of OKX Wallet, giving millions access to crypto trading and decentralized crypto applications (dApps). OKX is also a trusted brand by hundreds of large institutions seeking access to crypto markets. We are safe and reliable, backed by our Proof of Reserves. Across our multiple offices globally, we are united by our core principles: We Before Me, Do the Right Thing, and Get Things Done. These shared values drive our culture, shape our processes, and foster a friendly, rewarding, and diverse environment for every OK-er. OKX is part of OKG, a group that brings the value of Blockchain to users around the world, through our leading products OKX, OKX Wallet, OKLink and more.

About the Opportunity

Core owns the foundational journeys that define a user's relationship with OKX: account management, identity verification, moving and securing funds, and the risk, compliance, and customer support experiences that sit alongside them. It also covers the internal enterprise tools our support agents, PMs, and operations teams rely on every day to serve customers and run the business. These are among the most consequential surfaces in the product. They determine whether users feel confident enough to trade, whether they trust us with their assets and their data, and whether the teams behind the scenes can resolve issues quickly and well.

AI is central to how Core works and what Core builds. On the product side, we design AI-powered support and assistant experiences that help millions of users get answers and resolve issues in real time. Internally, we are an AI-native team: we use AI to move faster, sharpen our thinking, and raise the quality of what we ship, and we design the AI-native tools our internal teams depend on. If you are excited to design with AI and to shape how AI shows up for both customers and colleagues, this is a place to do it at scale.

As a designer on Core, you'll take ownership of these high-stakes experiences end to end. The problems are genuinely hard. You'll design across markets with fundamentally different regulatory requirements, from newly regulated regions to our established global user base, and your work will need to satisfy strict compliance and security standards while still feeling fast, clear, and reassuring. You'll partner closely with product, engineering, legal, and compliance, shaping requirements early rather than executing them late. This is work where the details carry real weight. If you want to influence how millions of users experience crypto at its most critical moments, and how the teams supporting them get their work done, Core is one of the most impactful places to do it at OKX.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own complex, high-stakes journeys end to end across account, assets, compliance, or support, taking them from problem definition to shipped, polished execution.
  • Design AI-powered experiences, from customer-facing assistant and support flows to AI-native internal tools, thinking through how people and AI work together, and where trust, transparency, and control matter most.
  • Partner with product, engineering, legal, compliance, and risk to define the real problem, then design solutions that balance regulatory and security requirements with a genuinely good user experience.
  • Produce the full range of design artifacts as needed: user flows, journey maps, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes, backed by evaluative research.
  • Work in an AI-native way, using AI to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and decision-making, and helping raise the bar for how the team designs.
  • Shape the design vision for your area alongside UX Research, UX Writing, and product leadership, and influence the roadmap early rather than delivering to it.
  • Raise the quality bar through design reviews, critique, and workshops, and bring rigor to ambiguous, high-consequence problems.

What We Look For In You

We hire against a shared set of competencies. Beyond craft, we look for how you think, decide, collaborate, and drive work forward.
  • Craft and expertise. Deep design craft with a sharp eye for detail, and up-to-date knowledge of your field. You analyze problems methodically and turn them into simple, effective solutions you can execute end to end.
  • Judgment in ambiguity. You cut to the root of a problem, make sound calls even with incomplete information, and find the optimal path rather than the obvious one. Core problems are rarely clean, and good judgment is what keeps users safe.
  • Business and product sense. You understand how the business works and where it's heading, and you connect design decisions to strategy, metrics, and real outcomes, not just the screen in front of you.
  • Collaboration and communication. You communicate with clarity and precision, build genuine trust with product, engineering, legal, and compliance, and give and seek feedback that raises the whole team's work. Partners see you as a collaborator, not a service function.
  • Drive and curiosity. You ask why before you design, stay resilient when problems are hard or ambiguous, and keep pushing your craft and ideas forward. You question the brief rather than just building it.
  • AI fluency. Genuine fluency and enthusiasm for AI. You already use AI tools in your own work, and you're excited to design AI-driven experiences, not just adopt the buzzword.
  • Experience designing complex, multi-step flows, ideally in fintech, crypto, or another regulated or high-trust domain.
  • 3+ years of experience shipping end-to-end design solutions in cross-functional teams at a tech company.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience designing AI or conversational interfaces, or a track record of using AI to change how you work as a designer.
  • Interest in designing complex internal tools and operational workflows, not just customer-facing surfaces.
  • Exposure to data-informed design. You're comfortable interpreting user insights, behavioral data, or A/B test results.
  • Familiarity with design systems and the ability to scale consistency across platforms.
  • Prototyping skills to bring ideas to life and communicate transitions or microinteractions.
  • Experience working across time zones with distributed teams. You know how to stay aligned and communicate with clarity.
  • A degree in design, HCI, or a related field.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package
  • L&D programs and Education subsidy for employees' growth and development
  • Various team building programs and company events
  • Wellness and meal allowances
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants
  • More that we love to tell you along the process!

StanChart, Circle, Ripple back crypto exchange OKX at unchanged $25bn valuation

Crypto exchange OKX has secured strategic investments from Circle, Ripple, QRT, and SC Ventures at a $25 billion pre-money valuation to accelerate its expansion into real-world asset tokenization. This funding round, which extends a previous investment led by Intercontinental Exchange, aims to provide the capital necessary for OKX to scale its tokenized product offerings. The exchange has already integrated significant RWA features, including the listing of over 40 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs for non-U.S. and non-European clients. Furthermore, OKX recently announced the launch of a tokenized securities venue utilizing SEC exemptions to facilitate regulated trading. By leveraging partnerships with major financial players like Standard Chartered and Circle, OKX is positioning itself as a bridge between traditional finance and blockchain-based markets. The inclusion of Ripple and its RLUSD stablecoin further signals a strategic focus on cross-border liquidity and asset settlement. This development highlights a broader industry trend where centralized exchanges are aggressively pivoting toward institutional-grade RWA infrastructure to diversify revenue streams beyond volatile crypto assets.

The Coming Wave of Tokenized Stocks in U.S. Markets

Tokenized stock trading is emerging as a transformative force in U.S. equity markets, promising to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technology. Platforms like OKX are exploring pathways to offer tokenized equities by leveraging SEC exemption frameworks such as Regulation A+ and Regulation D. This approach aims to bypass burdensome full registration processes while maintaining the strict compliance standards required by the SEC. The integration of these assets could enable 24/7 trading and automated asset management, reflecting a broader market appetite validated by institutional interest from firms like BlackRock. However, significant challenges remain regarding custody, the management of corporate actions like dividends, and the need for robust regulatory alignment. Startups must navigate a competitive landscape against legacy exchanges while ensuring their technological infrastructure meets stringent oversight requirements. Success in this sector depends on the ability to harmonize decentralized finance liquidity with traditional regulatory mandates. Ultimately, the evolution of tokenized stocks represents a potential seismic shift in how investors access and manage equity portfolios within an integrated financial ecosystem.

OKX, NYSE Parent ICE Seek US Tokenized Stock Trading Platform, Starting With 63 Shares

OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) have formed a joint venture, OKXICE LLC, to launch a platform for trading tokenized stocks in the United States. The venture has filed paperwork with the SEC to tokenize and trade shares of 63 companies currently listed on the New York Stock Exchange. This initiative leverages a new SEC “innovation exemption” that permits blockchain-based securities to trade under specific regulatory conditions, including a 30-day issuer objection period. By combining OKX’s blockchain infrastructure with ICE’s market technology, the platform aims to enable 24-hour global stock trading while maintaining standard shareholder rights like dividends and voting. This move represents a significant institutional push to modernize equity markets through smart contracts and liquidity pools. The development signals a shift in the US regulatory landscape, potentially intensifying competition among firms seeking to bridge traditional finance with distributed ledger technology. As one of the first entities to utilize this new SEC framework, OKXICE sets a precedent for how legacy exchanges and crypto-native firms can collaborate on regulated RWA products.
