About the OKX Card Team
The OKX Card Team builds the payment infrastructure connecting digital assets to global commerce. Partnering with major card networks like Visa and Mastercard, we power the OKX crypto card platform. Our team handles the full card lifecycle and payment stack—from instant issuance and real-time transaction authorization (Auth) to settlement, ledger management, and card growth engines. We also actively embrace AI-assisted development to build fast, scale cleanly, and maximize engineering velocity.

Key Responsibilities
- Core Card Services: Develop and maintain reliable backend microservices in Java for card issuing, authorization pipelines, and settlement clearing.
- Workflow Orchestration: Utilize Temporal to manage complex, multi-step transaction lifecycles and resilient distributed state machines.
- Data & Ledgers: Design and optimize SQL schemas and queries to ensure exactness and speed across high-concurrency transaction ledgers.
- AI-Enhanced Velocity: Integrate modern AI development tools into your daily workflow to speed up coding, unit testing, and problem-solving.
- Growth & Features: Deliver features for promotional campaigns, rewards, and card lifecycle management to support user growth.

Qualifications
- Technical Core: 1–3 years of backend engineering experience proficient in Java (Spring Boot) and relational databases via SQL.
- Workflow Management: Direct experience or solid understanding of distributed workflow tools like Temporal (or Cadence).
- Card & Fintech Domain: Strong background in Fintech with a solid grasp of card transaction mechanics (Visa/Mastercard networks, Auth, clearing, and issuing workflows).
- AI Tooling Mindset: Proactive in using AI development tools (e.g., Copilot, AI assistants) to boost output and maintain high code quality.
- Soft Skills: Highly self-driven, quick learner, and excited to build secure financial products.

Nice to Have
- Experience working directly with Card Issuing processors or Payment Service Providers (PSPs).
- Broad understanding of Web3 concepts or crypto-to-fiat conversion flows.
- Exposure to cloud-native stacks (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP).

StanChart, Circle, Ripple back crypto exchange OKX at unchanged $25bn valuation

Crypto exchange OKX has secured strategic investments from Circle, Ripple, QRT, and SC Ventures at a $25 billion pre-money valuation to accelerate its expansion into real-world asset tokenization. This funding round, which extends a previous investment led by Intercontinental Exchange, aims to provide the capital necessary for OKX to scale its tokenized product offerings. The exchange has already integrated significant RWA features, including the listing of over 40 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs for non-U.S. and non-European clients. Furthermore, OKX recently announced the launch of a tokenized securities venue utilizing SEC exemptions to facilitate regulated trading. By leveraging partnerships with major financial players like Standard Chartered and Circle, OKX is positioning itself as a bridge between traditional finance and blockchain-based markets. The inclusion of Ripple and its RLUSD stablecoin further signals a strategic focus on cross-border liquidity and asset settlement. This development highlights a broader industry trend where centralized exchanges are aggressively pivoting toward institutional-grade RWA infrastructure to diversify revenue streams beyond volatile crypto assets.

The Coming Wave of Tokenized Stocks in U.S. Markets

Tokenized stock trading is emerging as a transformative force in U.S. equity markets, promising to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technology. Platforms like OKX are exploring pathways to offer tokenized equities by leveraging SEC exemption frameworks such as Regulation A+ and Regulation D. This approach aims to bypass burdensome full registration processes while maintaining the strict compliance standards required by the SEC. The integration of these assets could enable 24/7 trading and automated asset management, reflecting a broader market appetite validated by institutional interest from firms like BlackRock. However, significant challenges remain regarding custody, the management of corporate actions like dividends, and the need for robust regulatory alignment. Startups must navigate a competitive landscape against legacy exchanges while ensuring their technological infrastructure meets stringent oversight requirements. Success in this sector depends on the ability to harmonize decentralized finance liquidity with traditional regulatory mandates. Ultimately, the evolution of tokenized stocks represents a potential seismic shift in how investors access and manage equity portfolios within an integrated financial ecosystem.

OKX, NYSE Parent ICE Seek US Tokenized Stock Trading Platform, Starting With 63 Shares

OKX and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) have formed a joint venture, OKXICE LLC, to launch a platform for trading tokenized stocks in the United States. The venture has filed paperwork with the SEC to tokenize and trade shares of 63 companies currently listed on the New York Stock Exchange. This initiative leverages a new SEC “innovation exemption” that permits blockchain-based securities to trade under specific regulatory conditions, including a 30-day issuer objection period. By combining OKX’s blockchain infrastructure with ICE’s market technology, the platform aims to enable 24-hour global stock trading while maintaining standard shareholder rights like dividends and voting. This move represents a significant institutional push to modernize equity markets through smart contracts and liquidity pools. The development signals a shift in the US regulatory landscape, potentially intensifying competition among firms seeking to bridge traditional finance with distributed ledger technology. As one of the first entities to utilize this new SEC framework, OKXICE sets a precedent for how legacy exchanges and crypto-native firms can collaborate on regulated RWA products.
