FinChain and Plume have launched FLEX & FINO, a leveraged yield enhancement strategy designed for the FUSD stablecoin, which is backed by U.S. short-term Treasuries and money market funds. The product utilizes a looping mechanism where users collateralize FUSD to borrow USDC, which is then deployed into liquidity pools to generate additional yield. This strategy targets an annualized APY of up to 7.2% while maintaining a 90% utilization cap to mitigate leverage risk. By transitioning FUSD from a simple yield-bearing asset into a structured financial product, the partnership aims to bring traditional institutional asset management logic into the Web3 ecosystem.
