Pontoro and Archax have launched the first Automated Liquidity Pool (ALP) on the Stellar network, marking a significant step in bridging private market assets with liquid money market funds. The ALP utilizes a dual-sleeve structure that pairs private credit or similar private market interests with cash-like assets to manage liquidity through rules-based pricing. By issuing interests as permissioned tokens, the platform enables institutional investors to access private market portfolios with integrated liquidity management. This pilot, presented at Meridian 2026, aims to solve the long-standing issue of illiquidity in private markets by creating a systematic, on-chain infrastructure. The Stellar Development Foundation, which is an investor in both Pontoro and Archax, supports this initiative to demonstrate how tokenization can transform private funds into functional, tradable markets. This development is critical for the RWA sector as it moves beyond simple asset tokenization toward building complex, automated financial infrastructure. By providing a mechanism for capital to move efficiently between liquid and private sleeves, the ALP offers a scalable model for institutional asset managers to improve distribution and capital retention.
