Animoca Brands & Franklin Templeton expand tokenised assets

Animoca Brands and Franklin Templeton have entered a strategic partnership to integrate institutional-grade real-world assets into the NUVA marketplace. NUVA, a vault-based platform co-incubated by Animoca Brands and Nuva Labs, previously focused on assets hosted on the Provenance Blockchain. This collaboration aims to expand the marketplace's offerings beyond its initial scope by incorporating Franklin Templeton’s tokenized financial products. The initiative seeks to bridge the gap between traditional asset management and decentralized distribution channels for institutional investors. Alongside the product integration, the companies have launched a four-part research series to analyze the strategic implications of tokenization on portfolio construction and market adoption. Furthermore, the firms are exploring the potential to tokenize cultural assets, signaling a broader ambition to apply blockchain technology beyond standard financial instruments. This move highlights the ongoing industry effort to transition tokenization from niche pilot programs into mainstream institutional workflows.
